Talent ID & Development for the Modern High School Coach

Introducing the Talent ID & Development for the Modern High School Coach Special Topics Diploma, being delivered in Strongsville, Ohio, on July 21-22, 2023. 

This unique course will address the identification and development of talent as it pertains to the modern high school coach. Specific emphasis will be placed on girls between the ages of 14 to 17 that high school coaches encounter.

OHSAA Soccer State Rules Meeting Available Online

The OHSAA State Rules Interpretation Meeting for the sport of soccer is now accessible through your individual myOHSAA account. Failure to complete the meeting prior to August 12 at 11:59pm will result in a late fee.

As a reminder, meetings must be viewed to their entirety to receive credit. I highly recommend you take a screenshot of the last slide in the event your attendance is not recorded. This meeting is required to participate in the post-season tournament.

To access the meeting, please follow the below instructions.

TO ACCESS ONLINE RULES MEETINGS:

1.     Login to your myOHSAA account (http://officials.myohsaa.org/Logon)

2.     Click on the “Rules Meetings” icon

3.     Click on “Find a State Rules Meeting”

4.     Search for your sport specific State Rules Meeting using the ‘Sports’ and ‘Meeting Type’ drop-down menus

5.     Click on ‘View Meeting’ once the State Rules Meeting has gone live

Ohio Coaches Recognized Nationally

Congratulations to Scott Molfenter being named Boys Private/Parochial Coach of The Year!

 Private/Parochial - Scott Molfenter, Carroll High School (Ohio)

With a 2-0 win over Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, Molfenter led the Carroll High boys team to its third-straight Division II state title. The Patriots also completed an unbeaten season with its 19-0-4 record, earned its fourth state title in five seasons and moved their unbeaten streak to 60 games heading into the 2013 season.

Also, congratulations to Margaret Bernard from Perrysburg, not only winning the Ohio Division I State Championship, but also being named the Central Region Coach of The Year!
