Longtime Summit Country Day Coach Has Won Three State Titles

Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA), is proud to announce the selection of long-time Summit Country Day Soccer Head Coach, Mike Fee, into the OSSCA Hall of Fame.

Fee is a three-time state champion (2011, 2015, 2017). He has been honored by the Southwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association as their district coach of the year six times. He has been named league coach of the year seven times.

On the field, Fee is just completed his 28th season of high school soccer. After six years as a junior varsity coach, he became head coach of Summit Country Day and has held that position for 22 seasons. As a head coach, he is approaching the 300-win milestone with a career record is 292-103-40. His teams have captured five regional championships and eight district championships since 2000.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native has produced eight All-Americans. Fee, a graduate of University of Cincinnati has spent his entire career as a high school teacher. He holds a Masters of Education degrees, from the Xavier University.

Not only has Fee been a successful coach, but has been a servant to high school soccer as well. Fee served as President of the SWOHSSCA for nearly 10 years, and also served for four years as its treasurer.

Fee and his wife of 25 years, Diane have three children, Carter, Alexis and Annie.

Fee will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame at the OSSCA yearly banquet in Columbus, on January 7th.

DON MUENZ SELECTED TO OSSCA HALL OF FAME

38 Year Veteran Official Has Led OHSAA Rules Interpretation For Over 25 Years

Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA), is proud to announce the selection of long-time OHSAA Soccer Rules Interpreter, Don Muenz, into the OSSCA Hall of Fame.

Muenz has been a high school soccer official for 38 years. Since 1996, he has served as the chief rules interpreter for all OHSAA soccer officials. The two-term president of the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Officials Association (OCSOA) was named him as one of Ohio’s Top 100 Soccer Leaders by Major League Soccer (MLS) when the Columbus Crew hosted the All-Star Match in 2000. He has dedicated his career to making the high school soccer game better for his fellow referees, coaches and the players. He has been a long-time servant of the game.

Collegiately, Muenz has also refereed in the NCAA as a regional referee, and even officiated one national championship match.

Muenz has refereed over 20 OHSAA State Tournament matches and sits on the NFHS (National Federation of High School Federations) for rules interpretation and writing.

Muenz will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame at the OSSCA yearly banquet in Columbus, on January 7th.

JOHN GUILIANO SELECTED TO OSSCA HALL OF FAME

Longtime Beavercreek Head Coach Won State Championship in 2017

Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA), is proud to announce the selection of long-time Beavercreek Soccer Head Boys Soccer Coach, John Guiliano, into the OSSCA Hall of Fame.

Guiliano retired from coaching two years ago. He faithfully served Beavercreek High School for 35 years as a soccer coach, with 30 as their boys head coach and five years as their junior varsity coach. He was a member of the OSSCA for 32 years.

On the field, Guiliano stood fifth all-time (at the time of his nomination) in OHSAA history with 427 wins. His career record is 427-110-85. After nearly 30 years of coaching, Beavercreek won the 2017 State Championship in overtime at Mapfre Stadium. During his tenure at Beavercreek, he has captured 16 league titles, 11 District Championships, and went to seven OHSAA Final Fours.

The Manhattan, New York native attended Sewanka High School in New York, where he was a varsity letter winner in soccer. Collegiately, he graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology where he played varsity soccer as well.

Not only was Guiliano is legendary coach, but was a servant to high school soccer as well. Guiliano consistently volunteered for the Miami Valley Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association as All-Star Game coordinator and at local district meetings.

Guiliano has four children, Jason (Current Head Coach at Beavercreek), Teri, Jenny and Sean.

Guiliano will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame at the OSSCA yearly banquet in Columbus, on January 7th.
